Well prepared for kindergarten
The kindergarten Märliwält is participating in the project "Well Prepared for Kindergarten", which is being carried out by the City of Zurich in collaboration with the University of Teacher Education St. Gallen.
Support for children in German
Children who do not grow up speaking German at home and are not used to external care will be prepared for entry into kindergarten with us. A qualified professional from the University of Education St. Gallen will accompany the child, the family, and the responsible caregiver for the child in the daycare.
To specifically support the foreign language children, the qualified professional from the University of Education St. Gallen will further train our staff through discussions and supervisions.
Children who do not grow up with the German language at home and are not accustomed to care outside the family are prepared for entry into kindergarten with us. A responsible specialist from the University of Teacher Education St. Gallen accompanies the child, the family, and the designated caregiver for the child in the daycare center.
In order to specifically promote the children who speak foreign languages, the responsible specialist from the University of Teacher Education St. Gallen will further train our staff through discussions and supervision.
Process
Every two weeks, this specialist comes to our daycare, observes and accompanies the child for two hours during their daily life at the daycare. Ultimately, all the children and families looked after at the Märliwält daycare benefit from the collected experiences and gained insights.
Costs
We are partners of the city of Zurich and the German language promotion is free for you.
