Kita Affoltern

The Kita Märliwält Affoltern is located on Obsthaldenstrasse in a modern building that was specifically designed for us as a daycare. Since opening in August 2023, we lovingly and individually care for children from 3 months up to kindergarten entry in two mixed-age groups.

In the "Füchsli" group, up to 12 children find a place each day, while in the "Bärli" group, up to 15 children are lovingly cared for. Our generously designed rooms offer children plenty of space to play, explore, and relax. A cozy retreat invites them to quietly look at a book or simply enjoy the moment. The central entrance area with a cloakroom spatially separates the two groups but simultaneously promotes a family-like atmosphere through joint activities and encounters, which is particularly important to us.

A highlight of our daycare is the beautiful garden with a playground, swings, and sandbox, surrounded by fruit trees and generous green areas. Here, children can romp, play, and discover nature. Additionally, the nearby playgrounds and Käferberg with its idyllic forest invite exciting outings and adventures. Daily time outdoors is particularly important to us to provide children with space for movement and fresh air, but also to promote their physical development and understanding of nature.

The Kita Märliwält Affoltern is also in close proximity to the double kindergarten and Hort Eigengrund, creating a familiar environment for children who later transition there.

Every child is at the center of our attention – with all their strengths, interests, and needs. In a warm and safe atmosphere, we accompany children on their developmental journey and create space for shared play, learning, and experiences. Our lovingly designed rooms and a structured, needs-oriented daily routine make the time spent with us something special.

Like all Kitas of the Märliwält, our Kita in Affoltern also stands for the highest educational quality. An above-average caregiver-to-child ratio ensures that we can meet each child's needs in all situations. Our dedicated team regularly participates in further training and works in collaboration with ZHAW as part of the quality initiative of the city of Zurich to continuously secure and further develop the quality of our work.
