Daycare Oerlikon

The Kita Märliwält Oerlikon on Friedackerstrasse offers children a loving place to grow and feel comfortable. Our spacious rooms, specially designed for the Kita, with over 300 m² provide plenty of space for movement and retreat opportunities. Since its opening in January 2020, we have been caring for children of different age groups here in two groups.

In the "Zwergli" group, the smallest ones from 3 months to 2 years find a protected space that is specifically tailored to their needs. With a maximum of 8 children per day, we can provide each child with the attention and care they need. For the older children from 2 years until they start kindergarten, there is the "Igeli" group. This group accommodates up to 16 children and promotes the social skills of the children in a larger group. We regularly mix the groups for joint activities, allowing the younger ones to learn from the older ones and vice versa – a wonderful opportunity for social learning.

A highlight of our Kita is the movement room with a slide, play equipment, and many materials that promote the children's motor development. Here, the children can let off steam, play, and naturally develop their physical abilities. The offer is complemented by our own garden with a play tower and slide. Here, the children experience nature up close, plant and garden together, and enjoy the apples from our own tree.

Our Kita's surroundings also have a lot to offer: nearby playgrounds and a beautiful forest invite excursions and create additional opportunities for adventures and discoveries.

With us, every child is at the center – with all their strengths and individual needs. In a warm and safe atmosphere, we accompany the children on their developmental path and create space for playing, learning, and experiencing together. Our lovingly designed rooms and a structured, needs-oriented daily routine make the time spent with us special.

Like all Kitas of Märliwält, the Kita Oerlikon also stands for the highest educational quality. An above-average caregiver-to-child ratio ensures that we are there for the children individually and reliably, even in challenging moments. Our dedicated team regularly continues its education and works in the framework of the quality initiative of the city of Zurich in collaboration with ZHAW to sustainably secure and continually develop the quality of our work.
