Mixed-Age Group

Kita Märliwält Wiedikon offers children a loving place to discover, grow, and feel at home. Since June 2017, we have been caring for up to 12 children in our mixed-age group, from the age of 3 months until they enter kindergarten. In a secure atmosphere, the children learn through play to be considerate of one another and to learn from each other – an important foundation for their social development.

Premises and Location

Our daycare center is located in a modern maisonette apartment on Staffelstrasse. The bright, light-flooded rooms offer space for creativity and adventure. Particularly popular is our magical treehouse – a place for dreaming, reading, or hiding. With great attention to detail, we design an environment that meets the needs and interests of the children.

Excursions and Surroundings

The proximity to the Zurich Allmend opens up numerous opportunities for excursions into nature. Whether it is a forest adventure, Kloppstockwiese, or Kollerwiese – the children experience nature first-hand and gather valuable experiences. Older children look forward to exciting forest days, while the youngest enjoy age-appropriate care at the daycare center.

Pedagogical Care

With us, every child is at the center. With a structured, needs-oriented daily routine and warm care, we accompany each child individually on their developmental path. Our premises are lovingly designed to allow for both retreat and creative play.

Quality and Further Education

Like all Märliwält daycare centers, we also attach the greatest importance to high pedagogical quality in Wiedikon. An above-average staff-to-child ratio ensures that we can do justice to every child. Our team regularly participates in further training and is part of the quality initiative of the City of Zurich in cooperation with the ZHAW. In this way, we guarantee continuous improvement of our work and offer your child the best possible care.

Private and Subsidized Places

At the Wiedikon location, we offer private and subsidized childcare places. Families residing in the City of Zurich can receive contributions towards childcare costs depending on their personal situation. You can find more information on our pricing page.
